Greetings! This is my twelfth year with the school district, and I'm excited to be returning to Lakie after a one-year hiatus. As a Vice Principal here, my portfolio includes overseeing Learning Support, Technology, PowerSchool, FNMI, and I am also assigned to the Grade 7 Team.
I’m a Saskatchewan-born boy, and was raised on a grain farm outside of Tisdale in the NE corner of the province, a couple of hours past Saskatoon. After taking an English degree at the University of Saskatchewan, I migrated to Calgary to complete a Journalism degree at Mount Royal. My first job was working as a reporter and photographer for the Taber Times. While covering education stories for the paper, I got interested in teaching as a career, so I headed back to school at the University of Lethbridge to take my Education degree. Six years ago I also completed a Masters degree in Brain-Based Teaching from Nova Southeastern University in Florida.
When I’m not at the school, I’m spending time with my beautiful family. My wife and I have two young boys, and we’re enjoying the challenge of stumbling through the adventures of parenthood.
