My name is Danielle Schmold. I'm new to the Lakie staff and wanted to share a little bit about myself. I was born and raised in Lethbridge and I’m excited to work in my hometown. I graduated from the U of L and majored in English Education. When I’m not teaching you can find me spending most of my time outside playing soccer, hiking, running or camping. I also love reading and have a passion for young adult literature!
I'll be teaching a wide assortment of classes this year and I'm looking forward to the opportunity! I start off the year by finishing Amanda Oliver’s maternity leave and teaching grade 7 and 8 language arts. Afterwards, I will be teaching grade 7 language arts and grade 6 and 7 social studies. I will also be taking part in the volleyball season as a coach and hope to get involved in some of the other great programs that Lakie has to offer. I am really excited to be a part of the staff here. I already value the kindness and knowledge that the staff has shared with me. I hear nothing but fantastic things about the students, staff, parents and community of Lakie and I’m glad I get to share my passion for teaching and learning with everyone involved in the school.
