At Lakie we believe that by allowing for students to have devices in the classroom, we open the door to opportunity for students to use them inappropriately. Our goal is to maximize engagement and learning in the classroom and so we want to avoid the opportunity for students to irresponsibly use their devices. The best place for your child's device is home. If they are brought to school we ask for them to be left in their lockers only to be used before school, after school or during lunch. Students with medical concerns requiring a device and/or students that have devices as a part of their ISP are permitted to have them during class time, so long as they're used responsibly. Please review the attached policy for more information.
