Amanda Oliver

Hi Gators! My name is Amanda Oliver, and I have been at G.S. Lakie since 2011. I completed my third practicum here and have never looked back!

I first graduated from the University of Lethbridge with a Bachelor of Arts and a major in Psychology. I enjoyed a job working at Family Centre before going back to the University to complete my Bachelor of Education. I have taught at all three middle school grade levels in multiple subject areas, but I have a passion for teaching Language Arts and strive to foster and inspire a love of reading and writing within each individual I teach.  I love my students and work hard to create a caring, safe, and engaged learning environment within my classroom.

Outside of teaching, I am a wife to my wonderful husband and a mother to my two incredible children. I love spending time with my family, being outside, being active, and reading.

I truly love my job, and I am so thankful to be at a school that inspires students and teachers alike and that encourages students to chase their dreams.
