Pink Shirt Day

GS Lakie, in coordination with the Lethbridge School Division Indigenous Education Team and the Mental Health Capacity Building Team, are creating an act of kindness movement for Pink Shirt Day. Kitsikakomimm – means “I love you” in Blackfoot. Our entire community thrives when we are kind to one another. All schools are being asked to bring certain items that could make a difference in our city. Middle schools are asked to bring mitts, toques, socks, and hand & foot warmers. Donations will be accepted for the month of February and collected on February 26th. We will celebrate our act of kindness on that day and ask all students to wear pink to promote the importance of service and kindness to others.
